DIA Bus Trip for Seniors In-Person
Adults 55 and older are invited to tour the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA). Museum attendance and transportation are included at no cost. Current museum exhibits include the 14th Annual Ofrendas: Celebrating el Día de Muertos, Reimagining African-American Art, Armor as Fashion, Folk Art and more. Lunch is not provided though the museum will provide a coupon for a free coffee and cookie.
The bus will leave the library promptly at 12 PM and should arrive at approximately 12:30. Please arrive no later than 11:45 am as the bus will not wait for latecomers.
Registration is required. As this program may be canceled if the minimum number of participants is not met, please only register if you are committed to attending.
The tentative agenda for the visit:
- 12 PM - Departure from the Library
- 1 PM - Estimated Arrival at DIA
- 1 PM - 2:45 PM - Tour of the DIA
- 2:45 PM - Meet at Donkey Statue in Lobby
- 3 PM - Bus Departs for the Library
- 4 PM - Tentative Arrival at the Library
